Passed over in the NHL entry draft, Martin proved his critics wrong during an award-filled 17 year NHL career. A member of the Tampa Bay Lightning's 2004 Stanley Cup Championship, St. Louis won the Hart Trophy and Pearson Award that season. Winning the Art Ross Trophy twice during his career for leading the league in scoring. The five time NHL All Star was award the Lady Byng Trophy three times for sportsmanship, combined with playing ability. He helped lead Team Canada to the 2004 World Cup of Hockey title as well and a gold medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games. He continues his career in the NHL as a coach.
