Selected eighth overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1988, Jeremy Roenick joined the NHL midway through the 1988-89 season as an 18-year-old, embarking on a 20-year career. Playing in nine NHL All-Star Games, Roenick led his team in scoring during seven seasons, recording 50 goals twice and 100 points three times from 1992 to 1994. The third American-born player to reach both 500 career goals and 1,200 career points, Roenick also represented Team USA six times in his career. He won a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and was named an All-Star Forward with runner-up Team
USA at the 1991 Canada Cup.
