Graduating directly to the NHL from high school hockey in the Boston area, Tom Barrasso excelled immediately in 1983-84 with the Buffalo Sabres, becoming just the third player in NHL history to win the Calder and Vezina Trophies in the same season. Named a 1st team All-Star that year, he was twice named a 2nd Team All-Star during his 19-year career and would help lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to consecutive Stanley Cup titles in 1991 and 1992. Holding numerous Penguins’ career goaltending records at retirement, Barrasso is the NHL’s all-time leader for goaltenders with 48 career assists and finished with 369 career victories.
This black & white acrylic plaque features a hand-drawn photo of Barrasso and background history in both English and French. Four chrome-plated pins add both style and function, holding the piece up to display on a table-top. The piece comes in a protective presentation box to minimize breakage and increase the lifespan of your product.
