He was also one of the game's greatest playoff performers, scoring six overtime playoff goals in his career. He was the first NHL player to register two hat-tricks in the Stanley Cup finals and played on eight Stanley Cup winning teams. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961.
