Add a piece of history to your hockey collection with this Riikka Sallinen plaque!
Regarded as the first superstar of women's hockey in Finland, Riikka Sallinen also left her mark on the game internationally while representing her native country. Leading Finland to six Women's World Championship bronze medals and one silver medal, she was named Top Forward twice and a Tournament All-Star three times at the tournament. Sallinen represented Finland at four Olympic Winter Games, winning three bronze medals and in 2018 at 44 years of age, became the oldest hockey player, male or female, to win an Olympic medal. She became the first European woman inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2010.
This black & white acrylic plaque features a hand-drawn photo of Sallinen and background history in both English and French. Four chrome-plated pins add both style and function, holding the piece up to display on a table-top. The piece comes in a protective presentation box to minimize breakage and increase the lifespan of your product.
